At the beginning of the opening, the gravel road to the east of Zhuhe South Road is called Beimen Road and Beimen Street. Later, it is extended westward, Henan Road to Fujian Road, Mingbaoshan Street; Fujian Road to Zhejiang Road, Mingdong Zhengfeng Street; In 1862, Dongzhengfeng Street extended westward to Tibet Road, Mingxi Zhengfeng Street. In 1865, the Public Concession Bureau of Industry and Industry renamed the whole road to Guangdong Road, commonly known as Wuma Road. In 1925, from Zhejiang Middle Road to Tibet Middle Road, it was changed to asphalt surface treatment. By 1935, the road was expanded to 12 meters from the Bund to the Hubei Road section.
