Guangdong Road Review

Near People's Square there is a not-wide road called Guangdong Road, which was used to be called "Five Roads". It is one of four dirt roads leading to the Huangpu River. Shanghai Workers' Cultural Palace is on this road.

Guangdong Road is located in the south of Huangpu District. From the east, Zhongshan East Road, to the west, Tibet Middle Road. It is 1447 meters long and is one of the four dirt roads leading to the Huangpu River before Shanghai Kailuan. Along the road is a residential house, there is an antique market and a municipal worker cultural palace.

From the east of Guangdong Road to the Bund of Zhongshan East Road, this starting point is sandwiched between the magnificent British Bank Building and the Nissin Building. At the beginning of the 20th century, a series of foreign banks, insurance companies and so on were opened along the sides of Guangdong Road.
