Kōbe East Park (Higashi Yūenchi) Review

This Park commemorates the Hanshin earthquake. When there was the Osaka-Kobe earthquake, the falling clocks and watches were fixed at that time. There are many trees and flowers in the park, which is a good place for weekend rest and recreation.

Dongyou Park is a street park built to commemorate the Hanshin Awaji earthquake in January 1995. The design of the park is highly praised by the predecessors in the domestic landscape industry. Opposite the Kobe City Hall, the flower clock on the edge was the prototype of the domestic flower clock. Unlike in China, the park will build a tall monument as soon as the commemoration is said. The design here is very close to visitors, so that people will be integrated into it in the process of visiting. The time point of the entrance sculpture is the time of the earthquake; the brick-red wall is the hand-printed wall of the victims; the sinking ground is the ground before the earthquake, with water flowing inside. There are also lanterns and many sculptures. Comfort Memorial facilities, built of broken red brick after the earthquake, underground is the spiritual seat of the dead.

Although the location is a bit difficult to find, it is better than fewer people, no noisy environment, the whole atmosphere is very nice, not bad 😁

This is a street park, clean environment, lawn is very tidy, there are mainly the clock when the Hanshin earthquake struck, the time of the fixed earthquake, quite meaningful.

It is the earliest Western-style Park in Japan, so the personal feeling is that the historical significance is greater than the noumenon, because in fact, it is a common and slightly characteristic Western-style Park (in fact, there are more Western sculptures).
