On September 5, it was cloudy and rainy. We walked out of the cathedral, across Zhang Square and down an alley to the cable car ticket office to Fort Saltz. I bought a round trip ticket for the cable car. There were a lot of people and the cabins were full, but the speed of climbing up the hill was very fast. In a short time, they reached under the castle wall, and the tickets had to be brushed at the entrance of the fortress. Inside, follow the road map and quickly come to the entrance of Line A. This is the Castle Museum, where you can get a Chinese scene commentator. The Museum floor introduces the history of the fortress, weapons, handicraft industry, judicial development and the history of Salzburg. Along the route to the highest tower of the castle, the reconnaissance platform on the top of the tower has now become the best viewing platform. Here you can have a bird's-eye view of Salzburg in all directions, and you can get a panoramic view of the old city of Salzburg. At this time, the shower was suspended, but when dark clouds rose over Untersberg in the southwest direction, a heavy storm was inevitable. We hurried down the viewing platform and went through the long passage of the castle to the audiovisual room, where the oldest organ in the world is collected. The audiovisual room is also the end of line A. Downstairs and out is the square inside the castle. Line B is in the courtyard of the castle, which is also the center of the fortress. The Bishop's room, the Museum of Arms and the Museum of Puppets are all here. When you enter the castle hall, you first see the cannon at the right window. The cannon is facing the Cathedral of Salzburg under the muzzle. The cannon erected in this position can only attack the targets in the city. It has little practical significance. It seems that the main thing is psychological deterrence. The left room at the end of the corridor is the Museum of Puppets. The Museum has a rich collection and the children are very happy to visit it. Coming out of the puppet museum, the window behind the puppet museum is accessible. Under the window is the observation platform of the fortress. Here we take pictures and have a good view. Up the stairs of the hall is the Armament Museum. In front of the exhibition hall is a model of the fortress construction, which shows the difficulty of the original construction of the fortress. The Ordnance Museum showcases the military equipment of the Austrian Army from cold weapons to World War I. Among them, the communication equipment exhibits of the Austrian Army Command during World War I are very exciting. It should be noted that at the end of this exhibition hall there is a retained wall of the ancient castle to peep at the leopard. You can imagine how magnificent the room in the castle was. There was a restaurant in the fortress. We didn't go in to taste the castle coffee because we were afraid it would be too late. We took some pictures at the viewing platform and then left. Salzburg Fortress is a very worthwhile place to visit.
