The Huata Tower of Baoqing Temple is located on the east side of the South Gate and stands towering on the north side of the Academy Gate. The Huata Pagoda of Baoqing Temple was built in the Tang Dynasty. It has seven-storey buildings with hexagonal plane. There are stone Buddha statues in Wei, Sui and Tang Dynasty. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, the government renovated the Huata Pagoda of Baoqing Temple, which is the oldest symbol of the Academy Gate, and also a key cultural relic protection unit in Shaanxi Province.
