Liugong Island has six Qing Dynasty forts, which are rigorously constructed, cleverly shaped, solid and practical, and echo the forts on both sides of the north and south. Its project scale is magnificent, and many poets praised at the time: "It is enough to strengthen my heart, and the situation is like a city." The Yellow Island Fort is one of them. The Yellow Island is located at the westernmost end of Liugong Island. It is an isolated island with tides and tides that can be reached by the sea. In 1888, the Beiyang Guard troops entered Liugong Island. Due to the needs of war, they filled up stone roads and built forts. The Yellow Island Fort is designed and built with strict, scientific and practical design. The underground pit road, military building and ammunition depots of the fort are connected. The pit road is a roof structure, granite rock masonry, cement grouting, about 2 meters high, about1.2 meters wide, the total length is nearly 300 meters, and the artillery can enter the gun position directly through the pit road.
