Hukou Waterfall, National Scenic Spot, National AAAA Tourist Spot, National Geological Park. Hukou Town, Jixian County, Linfen City, Shanxi Province in the East and Hukou Town, Yichuan County, Yanan City, Shaanxi Province in the West are the two provinces'common tourist attractions. It is 387 kilometers north from Taiyuan, Shanxi Province, and 350 kilometers south from Xi'an, Shaanxi Province. Hukou Waterfall is the second largest waterfall in China and the largest yellow waterfall in the world. Hukou Waterfall has a great momentum in the summer with a large amount of water, but in winter, the whole water surface is frozen, forming a rare giant ice waterfall. Around Dec. 6, 2014, due to the continuous cooling weather, the Hukou Waterfall of the Yellow River has a flowing ice and hanging landscape. On July 30, 2015, the Hukou Waterfall of the Yellow River was affected by heavy rainfall in the Yunyan River Basin in the upper reaches of Hukou Waterfall in Shaanxi Province. The Hukou Waterfall of the Yellow River presented a peculiar landscape of turbid waves in the West and white waves in the east.
