The park is divided into two sections by a road in the middle. The area is very large. It can be browsed for half a day without tickets. In the park on the side of the Independent Monument, there are many people playing skateboarding, roller skating and wheelbarrow. Some middle-aged people with big stomachs are very agile in skateboarding. The Monument to Independence was erected to commemorate Pedro I's announcement in 1822 that Brazil was separated from Portuguese colonial rule. The flame of freedom and independence was bright in front of the monument. The Brazilian flag was flying in the wind. The coffins of King and Queen Pedro were stored under the monument, but they did not go down, and it was not known whether they could be seen or not. On the other side of the road, in the park is the Palace of Pedro I. It is also quiet and has a lot of fitness people, but the palace has been closed for a long time.
