Jingtang Ancient Village is located 15 kilometers southwest of Qingzhou City, Weifang City, Shandong Province. It is an ancient village which has gone through more than 500 years of vicissitudes and storms, and is still well preserved in the architectural style of the Ming Dynasty. Jingtang Ancient Village was founded in 1456 in Jingtai, Ming Dynasty. The village has a clear spring under the Southeast Samao Mountain, which never dries up all the year round, forming a pond. Villagers build the pond into a well by masonry, and the name of the village comes from it. This spring is the source of Nanyang River, the mother river of Qingzhou.
