Dumu Temple is a characteristic high-rise building in the southwest corner of Duba Square. It is said that there was an ancient tree in the 12th century. Passengers and businessmen would rest and enjoy the cool under this tree. A wise old man cut down the two Brahma trees and built it into a temple, so it is called "Dumu Temple". The Nepalese pronunciation of "Dumu Temple" is Kathmandu, which is also the origin of the city name. Unfortunately, a magnitude 8.1 earthquake struck Nepal on April 25, 2015. The Dumu Temple was severely damaged and completely collapsed. It's very benevolent and painful. Transportation: Dumu Temple is located at the southern end of Duba Square and is accessible on foot.
