This is the place where the Japanese royal family has lived for the longest time. Now important ceremonies are still held here. It is free of charge every spring and autumn. The first day I went was Monday, only to find that Monday was closed. The next day I went on, and sure enough I could go in. There are not many tourists. This is the main place in The Tale of Genji, the small imperial palace. The vermilion door is very suitable for photography. The autumn scenery of the imperial garden is also unique.
