Lake Vanna is the largest lake in the whole South Island. It is adjacent to Lake Hawaii. Driving from the West coast, you can see two lakes on the road at the same time. The lake water here is dark blue and the water quality is clear to the bottom. In addition to the usual view of the lake in the town of Wanaka, we stopped at the intersection of Lake Hawaiia and Lake Wanaka. There are fewer people here, and you can see the snow mountains in the distance.
