Lianchi Lake, formerly known as Lianhua Lake and Liantan Mouth, is located in the south of Banping Mountain and north of Guishan Mountain in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. It is the largest lake in Zuoying District of Kaohsiung City. Its surface area is about 42 hectares and originates from Gaoping River. In 1686, when Yang Fangsheng, Zhixian County, Fengshan County, built the Confucian Temple, he planted lotus flowers in Panchi Lake. Every summer, lotus blossoms, fragrance overflowing, is the "lotus pond" name, and "Panshui lotus fragrance" as one of the eight scenic spots in Fengshan.
