Maiji Mountain is located in Maiji District, Tianshui City, Gansu Province. It is an isolated peak in Xiaolu Mountain, 142 meters high, and is named after the mountain shape resembles wheat straw. Maijishan Grottoes was built in 384-417, with 221 caves, 10632 mud-plastic stone carvings, and more than 1300 square meters of murals.
