Meng Temple, also known as Yasheng Temple, is located at No. 44 Yashengfu Street, Jining City, Shandong Province. It is a place for the thinkers of Mengzi during the Warring States Period. It was built in Jingyou in the Northern Song Dynasty in 1037. Meng Temple was originally built in the northeast of Jixian County, 13 kilometers away from the city of Siji Mountain southwest of the city, before Meng Yu Mausoleum. During the Yuanfeng period of the Northern Song Dynasty, due to the inconvenience of being far away from the city and paying tribute to the sacrifice, Meng Temple was not built in Dongguo, Jixian County. Until the restoration of Meng Temple in Xuan and the three years (1121) in the Northern Song Dynasty, the current site was rebuilt. The existing Meng Temple has been rebuilt many times in Jin, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, and has been rebuilt 38 times. The reconstruction of the building after the earthquake in Qing Kangxi was spread down. Meng Temple is rectangular, five courtyards, north and south long 458.5 meters, east and west wide 95 meters. It covers an area of 4.36 million square meters (about 65.4 mu). The complex is divided into East, Central and West three roads, with the main building of the Ya Temple, the north and south as a central axis, and the left and right are arranged symmetrically. There are 64 temples such as the Ya Temple, the Temple of the Kai Temple, the Temple of Mengmu, the Temple of Zhiyan, and more than 350 stone inscriptions. In 1988, Meng Temple was announced by the State Council as a key cultural relics protection unit in the country.
