Thailand Ministry of Defense, MOD is the cabinet-level government department of the Kingdom of Thailand. It is responsible for controlling and managing the Royal Thai Army, as well as maintaining national security, territorial integrity and national defense. The Thai armed forces are composed of three branches: the Royal Thai Army, the Royal Thai Navy and the Royal Thai Air Force. The King of Thailand is the nominal supreme head of the Thai armed forces. The Ministry of Defence is actually led by the Minister of Defence, a member of the Thai cabinet.
