Jinshan is located northwest of Zhenjiang City, at an altitude of 43.7 meters. Jinshan was originally an island that stood in the middle of the Yangtze River, and was praised by "a beautiful hibiscus in the heart of the river". Zhang Shu's poem in the Tang Dynasty: "See you in the shadow of the tree, the bells are heard on both sides of the Straits"; Shen Kuoshi in the Northern Song Dynasty: "Water on both sides of the terrace is connected, Jiangbei Jiangnan Mirror Tian"; Wang Yangming poem of the Ming Dynasty: "Jinshan is a little big as a fist, breaking the bottom of the water". Due to the "Dajiang East Current", Jinshan gradually joined the land in the end of Qingguangxu (1903). Jinshan attractions are many, full of historical legends and myths, "Liang Hongyu Yuguzhan Jinshan" is a household name, "White Lady Water Man Jinshan" is famous far and near.
