Onion-shaped roofs, beautifully carved domes, pointed pagodas and crescent emblems are all symbols of mosques and Muslims. Mosques can be found everywhere in Kuala Lumpur, and even some public buildings will be attached to a small mosque or prayer room. For a Muslim-dominated country, these are ordinary, but for me, a native, everything is fresh. It was also the first time I stepped into a mosque, but it shocked me whether it was the National Mosque, the Kamek Mosque by the Bashen River or the Little Mosque I saw near the glass pier in Java. No matter how big or small, when you step into the mosque, you seem to be isolated from the outside world. The mosque is like an independent junction. The 30 degree heat outside Kuala Lumpur has also turned into a breeze in front of the mosque with no walls around it.
