Bern is the capital of Switzerland, the third largest city after Zurich and Geneva, and the capital of Bern. Its old city has become a world heritage today. The Ale River divides the city into two parts: the old city on the West Bank and the new city on the East bank. Seven broad bridges across the Ale River connect the old city with the new city. The road in the old city is inlaid with stone slabs, and every three or five steps there is a fountain. It is suggested to climb to the Rose Garden to have a panoramic view of the ancient city.
