The Pantaigus Theatre, designed by architect Benjamin & Nalkes & Bretka, is the last theatre built by manager Alexander Pantaigus. On June 4, 1930, this magnificent theatre of artistic style met the world as part of the Fox Theatre chain. Pantaigus Circuit Theatre was built to perform operas. In its first two years, the Hollywood new theatre had premieres of movies in addition to performing operas and dances. It is now one of the leaders of the legal theatres in Los Angeles. The five highest-earning weeks in the history of the Los Angeles Theatre are all at the Pantaigus Theatre. The operas introduced here are well-known works, such as cats, River dances and so on.
