Penang Museum/Penang State Museum (Malay: Muzium Negeri Pulau Pinang; English: Penang State Museum), built in 1821, formerly a school, full of Nanyang style. The building, which was almost destroyed in the World War II fire, houses a large collection of Penang historical relics, including the first generation cable car of the flag-raising mountain, Japanese documents and so on.

Was having a lot of high hopes for Penang Museum as Penang is a heritage site and even the hotel I was staying at charged me additional RM2 per night just because it's in the heritage area. So that's a lot to say about their local Government and preserving the history.Entrance fee is RM1 - meagre in comparison to the National Museum in KL. But felt the content could have been well curated, tell the story of Penang in a more engaging way. I did get to know bout Francis Light, his last will etc but I'm still left with questions like why did Kedah royalty gave up Penang to him? What did Light see in Penang? How and when did the Britsih control ended? Why didn't Kedah take back Penang?

This is an interesting museum documenting the history of Penang with an eclectic mix of exhibits. It’s not the most fascinating museum in the world, but the exhibits are good quality and mostly come with descriptions. I especially liked the mock-up of traditional Chinese houses.

The Penang Museum, Malaysia, is smaller than the museum, and may not be used for two or three hours, but it is white and looks very elegant and elegant. It is said that the museum is also one of the most outstanding buildings in Malaysia.

The Penang Museum was built in 1821, formerly a school. A statue of Wright was erected in front of the museum. The statue was swept away by the Japanese during World War II and returned here after the war, but the sword on the statue never came back. This small museum has a complete collection of old photographs, maps, charts, furniture, clothing, memorabilia of the first Prime Minister of Malaysia, Donggu Adullaman, and other ancient relics of great historical value in Penang. Outside the museum, there is also a Penang flag-raising mountain's earliest rail vehicle for tourists to watch.
