The staff is very helpful and the food is delicious! It is authentic Peruvian cuisine done in a lovely way. The tamale was so good and the avocado and shrimp salad was exquisite. The noise level was very high but I guess that is part of the New York City experience. Folks were having a good time.

Pio Pio的秘鲁餐厅从皇后区Rego Park的一家小店,20年间发展到全纽约8家分店,以秘鲁特色烤鸡闻名的Pio Pio成为纽约客寻找秘鲁美食的首选。位于Hell's Kitchen的这家Pio Pio将印加的原始古朴文化与现代艺术相融合,木质的桌椅、仿藤条编制的墙面,硕大的顶梁石柱,让人仿佛来到了安第斯山脉,两层楼的超高屋顶给人一种开阔的感觉。也许是地处美食聚集的魔鬼厨房大道,这家Pio Pio比其他的分店感觉更加高、大、上,颇具情调。Pio Pio最为出名的就是秘鲁烤鸡,几乎是每桌必点的菜肴。一整只童子鸡用橄榄油、柠檬汁、大蒜和秘鲁特色香料先腌制,随后用炉火烤到外焦里嫩。 虽然很多秘鲁餐厅都有秘鲁烤鸡,但我觉得Pio Pio的烤鸡真正做到了鸡肉外皮焦脆,鸡肉鲜嫩多汁。任何烤鸡的鸡胸肉都是比较难以入味的,虽然pio Pio的鸡胸肉也没有太多的味道,但附送的绿色辣酱却完美的掩盖了鸡肉平淡的味道。用墨西哥小辣椒、香菜、酸乳酪、柠檬等调制出的浓稠绿色酱汁酸酸辣辣,还带有一些奶香,味道很好。将鸡肉沾着辣酱来吃,堪称绝配! 秘鲁盛产辣椒,辣椒的种类繁多,在秘鲁猜中,辣椒必不可缺少,但秘鲁的“辣”和川菜、泰国菜的辣不一样,它的辣味很含蓄,不激烈,辣椒会与其他食材完美融合,绝对不会突兀的展现其锋芒。如果三至五人,建议大家可以点一个烤鸡套餐,有烤鸡、黑豆汤配黄米饭,牛油果沙拉等。如果只是两人用餐,点上面一道Juanita‘s Chicken就可以了。
