It has a history of more than 600 years, ranging from the Southern Patrol Palace of Kangxi and Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty to the Governor's Palace of Liangjiang, then to the Tianwang Palace of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, and later to the presidential palace of the Nanjing National Government, and then to the people's government of Jiangsu Province. It was not until more than 1980 that it was opened to the public as a scenic spot. There is a scanning ticket at the door, 38 yuan per ticket. Generally speaking, it is very worthwhile to go.
