Dublin also has a river called the Liffey River. There are many bridges on the Liffey River, but only one bridge is famous, namely the "half pence bridge". At the bridge there is an iron sign saying: the bridge was built in 1816, originally called the Wellington Bridge, officially named the Liffey Bridge in 1836, but the common name is still called the halfpenny bridge, because before 1919, the bridge had to pay halfpenny.
