Rizopolozhenskaya convent in Suzdal Review

The south gate of the abbey is a rare double-topped arch, which is rare in other areas and is similar to the double arch north of Moscow Red Square. The abbey is free to visit, but it is relatively dilapidated inside.

The monastery is located not far north of the Suzdargu Trade Corridor, on the west side of the main road. The bell tower in the monastery is the tallest building in Suzdar and can be seen far away. Because it is a free attraction, I feel that no one cares. It looks semi-descended inside. Some churches are closed and there is a lot of garbage around the building. However, the double arches of the abbey are still very distinctive.

The most interesting building in the monastery, the double arched gate, built in 1688. Two arches of different sizes, decorated with stone carvings and wide tiles. Large passage arches, arched almost half-circle shape. The top of the door, through the setting of a small window, the small ceiling stove tent type capped, the edge is decorated like a tent fake skylight.

The monastery is right next to the main road and the double arches are very distinctive. Go in for free. You can climb the bell tower overlooking Suzdar, which is said to be the tallest building in Suzdar. There is a woman who recruits tourists to climb the stairs and collects money at the clock downstairs. There is no bill, because I can't find the money and give us a discount. It feels not formal. However, the view of the clock tower is still good, you can climb up and see.

Because I lived in it, I went in and out of the small arch many times, and I didn't find that the two arches were not the same big. I saw the photos later and felt that I laughed at my dullness. The monastery is very old, so many places on the wall are very mottled, but this is the beauty of the old monastery. The two spires on the door resemble two tents, with lovely touches. They again lament the romance and art of the Russians.

A very beautiful monastery at the door, like the building blocks that I played when I was a child. There is a large yard in the monastery and the environment is very good. I can stay here. I lived in it that night, 800 rubles a bed, a quadruple room. I lived alone at night, it was like a room.

The monastery is located in a depression in the center of the Suzdar Valley and does not require admission. It is very quiet inside. There is an area that looks like a villa. It is surrounded by chains and does not let tourists enter casually. After reading the introduction, I know that this is a monastery that can be stayed. As foreign tourists, we don’t know how to book. It is indeed a very quiet place to rest.
