这里其实就是一条高速公路，两边都是一望无际的土地，不知道种了什么植物或者农作物。这条公路笔直的一直往前开，稍微有点起伏，一会上坡一会下坡。

非常喜欢开车走马鞍道的，这里其实是一条公路的，沿途风景非常的好，经过的小镇都非常的漂亮的，公路的路况非常的好，开车感觉超爽的！

This is the road to Hilo from the Kona side of the Island. Good paved road. Long up hills and down hills, straight as a pin.

穿行200号公路（马鞍路），驻足于莫纳罗亚火山脚下1984年火山爆发留下的一片死寂荒原。 形如马鞍的20号公路横贯夏威夷大岛的3/4，并与190号公路相连。公路两旁就是大岛两座高海拔火山-莫纳凯亚和莫纳罗亚，平地海拔达到2千米以上。正是由于这两座高山阻挡了途经群岛的太平洋暖流云层，致使大岛东部与西部截然不同的气象。对于马鞍路的影响是致命的，因云层就在2千米海拔的公路位置，公路上云雾弥漫，凶险异常，幸好崭新的柏油路面减轻了一些心理阴影，但如果是不熟悉路况的自驾，还是免了吧。

“Saddle Road·马鞍公路”，是从岛北侧的世界海岛第一高峰“Mauna Kea”（如果计算海面下的高度，山顶常年积雪，所以当地人称呼它为白山。这里就是观星发烧友的天堂，山顶拥有一处非常好的天文观测点：平均每年有超过300个晴朗的夜晚；天文台的高度降低了大气层对观测带来的相当大一部分影响；最后，在北纬20度的位置，这里能同时观测北半球和南半球的星空。）和第二高峰“Mauna Loa”中间穿越过去的。
