Nepal has four world and natural heritage sites: Sagarmata National Park, marked by Everest, Royal Chitwang National Park with numerous wildlife, Kathmandu Valley, the ancient site of the Buddha's Sakyamuni, the birthplace of Lambini. Among them, seven monuments in the Kathmandu Valley are within an hour's drive of the city, and tens of thousands of temples are scattered in various corners of the town.
