Santa Justa Lift Review

Lisbon's San Husta lift is vertically lifted, 45 meters high, neo-Gothic decoration. Visitors can overlook the city street view and become a tourist landscape. We caught up with the maintenance when we went, it was not open, but the lift itself is a scenic line. There are several other lifts in Lisbon.

The San Justa Lift is located at the end of San Justa Street, connecting Bombardier Lower, lower streets, with the higher Karmu Square, each floor has different styles, you can see the San Jose Castle, Rossio Square and other attractions.

San Justa Lift (Portuguese: Elevador de Santa Justa), also known as the Calmu Lift (Elevador do Carmo), located at the end of San Justa Street (Rua de Santa Justa), connecting the lower streets of Bombal's lower city with the higher Calmu Square (Largo do Carmo), opened to the public on July 10, 1902, is the only straight up and down Lisbon open to the public Elevator. 

Elevador de Santa Justa, Lis himself has the highest viewing elevator. This neo-Gothic steel lift is 45 meters high and can reach the top floor through spiral stairs. It is the best choice to climb up to enjoy Lisbon. You can see the scenery of San Jose Castle, Rosio Square and Bombardier. The interior of the elevator is very beautiful and antique. You have to queue up to enter the elevator, 5 euros/person. If you buy a day ticket or sightseeing bus, you can get free tickets, but you have to make up an extra 1.5 euros when you climb to the top.

The San Husta lift, also known as the 100-year-old elevator, has a history of more than 100 years. It is the street on the side of Augusta in Rosio Square. It is very conspicuous. There are long queues during the day and night (please reserve at least 45-60 minutes of queue time). The top here overlooks the whole of Lisbon, day and night are good, there is a bellalisa restaurant at the top of the tower, and you can consider afternoon tea or dinner.
