Tourism to Japan, this stop came to Tokyo, Sensoji Temple is located in Tokyo Taitung District, is Japan's existing "Edo style" people's playground, Asakusa is the birthplace of Tokyo, and is also the oldest temple in Tokyo. The gate of the temple is called "Thundergate", the official name is "Wind Thundergate", which is the symbol of Japan's door face and Asakusa. There is a five-weight tower in the southwest corner of the temple, which is second only to the five-weight tower of Kyoto East Temple. It is the second tallest tower in Japan. There is Asakusa Shrine in the northeast of the temple. Asakusa has a wide variety of festivals, all year round there are celebrations. It is rumored that in 36 years, two fishermen fished in Miyatogawa and fished a golden Guanyin image of5.5 cm high, which is considered to be "Guanyin manifesting spirit". Nearby people raised funds to build a temple to worship this Buddha statue, which is Sensoji Temple. In the early days of Edo, Tokugawa Kakang rebuilt Sensoji Temple and designated it as a place of worship for Tokugawa Shofu. The Sensoji area gradually prospered. Every year around New Year's Day, the pilgrims who came to worship, crowded with people, entered Sensoji Temple and turned right. There was a large spray pool called a net hand pool. The water could be drunk. The street in front of Sensoji Temple, which is located between Leimen and Bentang, is called "Zhongjian Shi". It is a 300-meter-long ginseng road leading to the Treasure Gate and the main hall. It has about 90 shops, which are very different from other temples. During the peak tourist season, pilgrims and tourists are crowded on the commercial streets, so you can't find direction for a while. There are also many restaurants in Asakusa, snack shops, ice cream shops, and Niu restaurants, Japanese restaurants are all over the street. Where can you eat with your stomach?

Senso-ji Temple is located in Asakusa, Tokyo, Japan. This ancient Buddhist temple is a captivating travel destination with a rich history and vibrant surroundings. As you approach the temple, Nakamise-dori, a bustling street lined with traditional shops, leads the way. These shops offer a delightful array of souvenirs, traditional crafts, and local snacks, creating a lively atmosphere for visitors. The scent of incense fills the air as you enter the temple grounds, enhancing the spiritual experience.Exploring the temple complex, you'll encounter the iconic Thunder Gate (Kaminarimon) with its massive red lantern. Beyond it, the main hall, Hondo, stands majestically. Visitors can partake in the ritual of purifying themselves with the smoke of burning incense and then proceed to admire the beauty of the temple's architecture.Senso-ji is not only a religious site but also a cultural hub. Nearby, the Asakusa Culture and Tourist Information Center offers panoramic views of the area, providing a perfect vantage point for photography enthusiasts. Additionally, Sumida Park, along the Sumida River, offers a tranquil escape, especially during cherry blossom season.Overall, Senso-ji Temple and its surroundings provide a perfect blend of history, spirituality, and vibrant local culture, making it a must-visit destination for travelers in Tokyo.

place filled with culture and history!! visited pretty late around 4pm and the crowd seemed to have died down a little. However, majority of shops have closed as well.

I've been to Sensoji three times. Every time I go to Japan and Tokyo, I always stop by there. It's a busy area, it's super busy. But like the vibe. Right and left there are many small stalls selling various kinds of Japanese snacks and accessories too

Asakusa Temple, in fact, I have been there several years ago, but this time I stayed at the hotel. It only takes 15 minutes to walk from Asakusa Temple. It is regarded as a city walk. Come to Sensoji Temple to feel the strong Japanese cultural atmosphere. The most striking is still Leimen, and the bustling commercial street leading to Sensoji Temple. After the epidemic, it was also very interesting to suddenly feel the crowds.

The most representative Guanyin Temple in the Edo period, it is rumored that the earliest establishment of the Shangjia used to seek wealth is very practical, and later the Shangjia gathered, seeking wealth and children, etc., the incense is getting more and more prosperous so far! From Zhongjian Commercial Street, walk for about 7.8 minutes to reach the landmark building of Sensoji Temple Leimen, be sure to leave a shadow (=^^=)

The Sensoji Temple, which is crowded with people, is hot to the day of take-off ~ Internet celebrities punch in the attractions, I regret not coming, and I regret it when I come.
