Sofia Plaza was founded in 1997, covering an area of 2.2 million square meters, located on the south bank of the beautiful Songhua River in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, located in the bustling area of Harbin city center, Sofia Plaza is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction. The square consists of three parts: St. Sophia Church, the Jewish New Hall and the Architectural Arts Plaza. The iconic Sophia Church in the square is the most beautifully preserved Byzantine architecture in China. The building that was born for nearly a hundred years is full of charming colors, and the murals, chandeliers, bell towers and domes and singing platforms in the church all show colorful human landscapes and unique artistic characteristics, which have high historical and cultural value and architectural art viewing value. The church is a grand scale comparable to the Vassili Church in Moscow, and is beautifully shaped like Notre Dame. The magnificent dome, the simple and elegant wall decorations reproduce the style, and the whole square is condensed with beautiful melody and architectural wisdom.
