The red building on the other side of the cathedral is St. George's Cathedral, the best preserved Roman-style building in Czech Republic, and the second oldest church in Prague (built in 920). Above the entrance door to the south side of the church is a stone statue describing the legend of St. George's dragon landing, from which the church is named. The rear space of the inner hall of the church rises, and two steps lead to the choir hall with the semi-circular roof and vault, where beautiful murals can be seen. As one of the venues of the International Music Festival "Prague Spring" it is renovated and uses wooden ceilings. The sound effect is said to be the crown of all the churches in Prague.
