The textile industry, consisting of textiles, embroidery, lace and other textiles, has been an important export industry in Switzerland. The St. Gallen Textile Museum (TextileMuseumSt.Gallen) is located in the capital of St. Gallen, Switzerland, and is the most unique museum in Switzerland with textile products on display. The St. Gallen Textile Museum shows the development of the textile industry in various countries over the centuries. The exhibits include: embroidery from the 14th to the 20th century, lace produced by the main lace lace industrial center in Europe from the 15th to the 20th century, and historically important textile samples. Textiles, embroidery looms from the Coptic era (4th to 12th centuries), embroidery looms from eastern Switzerland in the 19th and 20th centuries, and a wealth of books from the same period. Open: 10:00 am-5:00 pm daily, not open during Good Friday.
