Tianhou Temple Review

Yantai Tianhou Palace is elegantly decorated and has a unique style of southern Anhui architecture. It consists of five parts: mountain gate, hall, back hall, opera house and east and west corridor. The mountain gate is composed of three painted wooden doors.

The Tianhou Palace is one of the most important ancient buildings in Penglai Pavilion. The Tianhou Palace is dedicated to Mazu, because there are many fishermen in Penglai since ancient times. They pray for Tianhou to protect the calm wind and waves.

Penglai Pavilion is a small scenic spot near Penglai Pavilion. A Temple worshiping Mazu. From here to the side, you can get to Penglai Pavilion directly. Business atmosphere is too strong, once entering the temple door, someone will come up to invite incense. Oil lamps and so on, please. The temple is not big. You can finish a tour in about five minutes. There are fewer Mazu temples in the north, but more in the southern coastal areas.

I went to Penglai Pavilion 20 years ago. At that time, it was not as large as it is now, and there were not many tourists. But Tianhou Palace was very famous at that time. It was said that when I worshiped the Bodhisattva, I would have a son. At that time, I was very pious in doing so, but I didn't expect that I could really fulfill my wish. This time, I brought my children to pay my wish, and bye-bye again. But the children are too young and I'm too old. Then I pray for the safety of the whole family.
