Most of the people who come to Venice are by train. Personally, I suggest to live on the main island. It's much easier for you to go to the island the next day in more than a dozen euros, and the scenery is beautiful in the morning and evening. If you are flying, there are buses to and from the main island at Marco Polo Airport, 5 Euros, and they are free by ticket. It is suggested to buy a 48H bus ticket. Venice needs to play for 2 days. Before going there, some friends said they were disappointed with Venice. They went with a group. They only stayed in Marco Polo Square on the main island for a while. Of course, they were disappointed. Tourist guides were afraid that tourists would get lost. They repeatedly stressed that they were not allowed to cross four bridges. In fact, there were no bridges so easy to get lost, and each bridge had a different scenery and the main island was quite large. It's hard to walk on both legs. Water bus line 1 is a tour route around the island.
