This is a nice little aquarium and especially good for kids. We were lucky enough to find street parking within walking distance. Our 4-year-old got in free and the adults each got $1 off the $9 general admission with our AAA discount. We were given devices to listen to for an audio tour, but we didn't use them and proceeded at our 4-year-old's pace and left whenvever he declared he was done. Tip: Bring sunscreen and a hat because some displays are outside in direct sun. Among many other things, we saw:* Variety of tropical fish * Monk seals (check times for shows) * Interactive exhibit (can hold and touch hermit crab)* Sharks* Jellyfish * Grouper* Octopus There's a gift shop and a place for kids to make souvenir pennies. There are beaches within walking distance of the aquarium.

Founded in 1904, it is the second oldest public aquarium in the United States. Since 1919, the Waikiki Aquarium has been an institution of the University of Hawaii at Manoa. It's just a 15 minute walk west of Diamond Head Beach Hotel.

This is a groovy way to see ocean life up close and personal. One of may favorite pics is one of my son in the giant clam shell. Great place to show keiki the life under the sea.

Wonderful day to go was the 112th birthday celebration. Admitted for $4 with plenty to see and do.

It is a small aquarium but very welcoming! There are many interesting species to observe and learn from. The people are very nice. This place actually works as fund collector for research at the University of Hawaii and conservation programs! Loved the jellyfishes!!

A small but excellent spot on the edge of Waikiki to get acquainted with the local marine life. Run by the University of Hawaii. Plan for a 2 hour visit
