Mahatai Temple Mahatai Temple is one of the earliest Khmer-style pagodas built in the city, but now there is only the base at the bottom. From the pagodas around it, you can see the traces decorated with mortar at that time. The most famous scenic spot in the temple is the tree wrapped around the Buddha's head at the entrance. The smiling Buddha's head wrapped around the roots of the old Bodhi tree is one of the seven wonders of Thailand. When taking pictures with the Buddha's head, squat down, because the Buddhist culture in Thailand is that the head of a person can't be higher than the head of a Buddha. The main pagoda of Mahatai Temple is a Khmer-style Buddhist pagoda, which collapsed and rebuilt. After the invasion of the Burmese Army, the pagoda was full of fragments, and there were traces of broken walls and looted and destroyed. Because of the war, the temples of the big city were almost destroyed once. Because of greed, the remaining Buddha statues became avatars. Mankind could not restore the ruins that had been destroyed, so that future generations could only remember the horror of the war.
