Located at the foot of Yuntai Mountain in the west of Zhenjiang City, Wang'an Shi Xijin Du Ancient Street is a historical relic built on the broken mountain trestle road. Xijin Du Ancient Street is the most preserved, concentrated and intact area of Zhenjiang's cultural relics and historic sites. It is the "context" of Zhenjiang's famous historical and cultural city. Xijin Du Ancient Street is about 1,000 meters long. It was founded in the Six Dynasties. It has been built in the Tang/Song/Yuan/Ming/Qing dynasties, leaving its present scale. Xijin Du: It was called "Garlic Mountain Du" in the Three Kingdoms, and "Jinling Du" in the Tang Dynasty, and "Xijin Du" only after the Song Dynasty. Ancient Street buildings are mostly relics of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Brick and wood structure, eaves carved window railings are painted vermilion, along the street you can clearly see "Chang'anli in the Spring of the First Year of the Republic of China", "Giri West Street 1914", "De'anli" and other topics. The deep ruts on the bluestone pavement testify to the prosperity of this millennium old crossing and millennium old street. The two-storey buildings, the eaves of the pavilion, the carvings on the windows, the mottled counter and the ten-plank door of the Chinese fir are scattered together. Walking along the ancient street, it seems like walking in a natural history museum. Xijindu Cultural Block can also be visited: the Lifesaving Society, which was built in the 31st year of Kangxi (1693) and has a history of more than 300 years; the only well-preserved and oldest stone pagoda crossing the street in China, the Zhaoguan stone pagoda; Guanyin Cave, Waiting Pavilion, Chaoshan Temple, the old site of the British Consulate in Zhenjiang.
