Xiongyasuo Gucheng Review

The charm of this village with remnants of buildings dating back to the Ming dynasty lies in the fact that it has not been overdeveloped for tourism. Some may say that makes it less attractive but for me it’s exactly what makes the sights interesting: they are still authentic and have not been restored to within an inch of their lives. The mix of styles in architecture over time is exactly what makes for a great walk through history: which period are we looking at here? It also makes for great photo opportunities, and I will definitely be back with friends and visitors in the future.It’s best to bring a picnic lunch with you as the supermarkets sell water and drinks but there’s no restaurant: a real village. 😉

At the junction of Jimo and Haiyang, an ancient city silently guarded our coastline for more than 600 years. This is Beixiong Cliff House, an ancient city built in the Ming Dynasty, without any commercialization, and filled with years. The city wall of the south gate building is still intact, and the two stone lions stand at the gate of the city and look firmly far away. Walking on the bluestone bricks hundreds of years ago, most of the houses on both sides have no traces of people living, broken walls and ruined. The commissary, barber shop, and Shantou store have kept the decoration for nine years, and the time is wrong. From the south gate all the way to the north, the city building in the north has disappeared. Out of the village, there is an ancient well, under the windmill that is slowly turning, the waves are not shocked. The long road passage is blue and blue, the yellow rice fields are separated from the low mountains in the distance, and this is the most beautiful rural picture. (P4 shooting) The west gate of the ancient city is also intact. Standing outside the door to see the ancient city, the door is like a simple picture frame, framed by a trace of fireworks. The shells scattered underground added a red to the stone road, and the mountains and seas were scattered in the distance of the red tiled houses. The old woman at the gate of the city sells peanut sugar made by herself, which is crisp and fragrant. It is the best peanut sugar I have ever eaten. Finally, I told a joke. We walked to the beach and suddenly received a text message: Yantai welcomes you! I was really shocked when I was asked not to go out of the market. I pulled my friend and ran back to the last end. The photo here is very good, but it is really too far. If you come to travel deliberately, it is not recommended, because it is a village size, except for the city wall, other villages that are like those that are about to be demolished will be disappointed. However, you can wait for the summer to go to Yucun to take a lotus.

Jimo Northeast, by the sea, well-preserved old city, the village is very neat and clean! Even the garbage classification is done well! It should be specially maintained and requested! Except for us, I didn't see tourists! But looking at the street stalls, there should still be tourists! It's just that the museum is not open, the city building is not allowed to go up, saying that it is a pity to find village cadres!

600 years of ancient city, Ming Dynasty sea defense fortress. West high and east low, it seems to be built on a hillside, not far from the east is the sea, you can see a large area of sea on the city wall. The tourism development of the ancient city is not perfect, maybe this is the best time to go to Xiongya.
