Shanwei Xuanwu Mountain Tourism Area integrates Yuanshan Temple religious and cultural tourism and Tianweishan Seabed Park seaside tourism. It is centered on Yuanshan Temple.[1] Yuanshan Temple was founded in the first year of Jianyan in the Southern Song Dynasty (1127), and is the center of religious belief at home and abroad in Chaoshan District. [1][3] During the Ming and Qing periods, the geographical location of Xuanwu Mountain was closely related to the history of the ancient Acropolis of the Rock and Rock, and it was of important strategic status.[1] In November 2007, Xuanwu Mountain Tourism Area in Shanwei was approved by the National Tourism Administration as a "National AAAA-level tourist attraction".
