Yangzhou Song City West Gate Site Museum Review

Yangzhou's west gate, also known as Tongsimen, can be traced back to the later weeks of the ancient five generations. When I came here, I stepped on every brick under my feet and felt full of a heavy sense of historical era. The whole museum is really not very big, a short 10 minutes may be able to walk, but it is really not enough to understand its historical changes within this 10 minutes. The museum staff also showed us a lot of cultural relics and written records.

Yangzhou museum is really a lot, I saw this museum from Yangzhou University on the way to the hotel, so I came in and looked at it. The entire museum is free to open to the public. Everyone knows that the museum is closed on Monday. This museum is through the Ximen site of Song Dacheng, showing us the customs and life scenes of the entire ancient Ximen side.

Before I came to Yangzhou, I didn't know that there were ancient city walls here. Only when I saw them, I knew that Yangzhou had a history, and it was a city wall of Song Dynasty, with a history of thousands of years. Although the museum is not big enough, it will be finished in a few minutes, but free is still good, you can also learn about history, it is worth recommending.

Song Dacheng West Gate Site Museum was not in our Yangzhou trip plan, it was purely an encounter. After eating in Yiyuan, I saw an old city wall without going far west, and then walked forward to find the gate. I entered the discovery of a ruins museum. I checked it online. The west gate was built in the fifth generation. It has been through two Songs, Yuan, Ming, Qing and the Republic of China. It has been more than a thousand years. Like the Ming City Wall site in Beijing, it used to have a very important role in the defense of the ancient army. The bricks on the ground are the real old bricks laid in the Song Dynasty, so they can only be viewed from afar. The place is not big, but the historical memory is strong.
