Another name of this temple is the Baban Pagoda. Because it is the oldest tower building in Kyoto, it is more famous. This is clearly only five boards, why is it called eight boards? Baidu once said that the temple was built by a local rich man of eight boards, so it was named eight boards temple. I just passed by here and took two pictures at random. When I saw everybody taking pictures here, I thought it should be a scenic spot. I came back to find out that there was such a story. Because it's next to Qingshui Temple, there are more tourists here. They all come by to see it.
