West Wutai Yunju Temple is a temple with historical origins. It was built in the Northern Song Dynasty. The temple is built on the site of Chang'an City Wall in the Sui and Tang Dynasties. Since the site of the city wall is higher than the surrounding area, it is arranged in a straight line into 5 undulating platforms, and Chang'an is located west of Wutai Mountain. Therefore, the temple is named the West Wutai Yunju Temple. At present, West Wutai is the Chang'an City of Daxing, Tang Chang'an City Palace and the South Wall Site of Tang Dynasty was listed as a key national cultural relics protection unit in 1996.
