Zhantianyou's Former Residence Review

Zhan Tianyou's former residence is located at 65 Dongting Street, Hankou. The former residence is designed and built for him personally. In1912-1919 He worked tirelessly in Hankou to preside over the construction of the Guangdong-Han Railway and Sichuan-Han Railway. He then went to Harbin to fight for China's rights and interests in the Middle East Railway. He finally died of fatigue, aged only 58.

Zhan Tianyou's former residence is located at No. 51 Dongting Street, Jiang'an District, Wuhan (formerly No. 9 Hankou Russian Concession). The former residence was built in 1912 and was personally designed and built during Zhan Tianyou's tenure as Chief Engineer of Hanyuechuan Railway Association. Zhan Tianyou personally designed and supervised the construction of a two-storey white building in the concession, where he spent the last few years of his life with his family. The first floor is the main exhibition area. The railway designed by Zhan Tianyou and the sketch of the first Yangtze River Bridge in Chinese history are introduced. Zhan Tianyou is not only an engineer, but also an educator. The Chinese-English dictionary and textbook of Engineering compiled by Zhan Tianyou are on display in the exhibition hall. The rooms on the second floor were not open at all. Only the corridor area had a history of Chinese workers building railways for foreign countries. Just check in at the front entrance.
