Zhishuang Pavilion Review

The well-known ancient buildings in Suzhou City are located above the famous Tiger Hill Scenic Area and Jianchi. The traditional brick and wooden structure, carved beams and painted buildings, heavy lifting, simple and beautiful style, windows are open on all sides, and the summer breeze is very transparent.

The attic is located at the highest point of Huqiu Gardens. The interior is simple and traditional. It is cool in early summer. It is very comfortable. It was built in the Song Dynasty and the existing buildings were rebuilt during the Republic of China.

During the eight years of the Qing Dynasty, Kangxi circled the palace, Xianfeng was destroyed in the ten years, and the existing building was rebuilt by the monks of Xuanxu in 1930. The furnishings here are very exquisite. Here you can see the Lion Rock from a distance, this lion is lying on the ground looking back at the Tiger Hill, this is the famous "lion looking back at the Tiger Hill" landscape.

Zhishuang Pavilion is located in the southwest of Huqiu Tower, also known as "Hufu Pavilion". During the Song Dynasty, Zhishuang Pavilion was originally named after the Fatang behind the Huqiu Pavilion, because of "four mountains of cool air, day and night". It was later rebuilt in Xiaowutai, which is the current site. Wen Zhengming once wrote for it. During the Qing Kangxi period, he was circled into the palace. The Xianfeng decade (1860) was destroyed in the war of Taiping Heaven.

Why is it called Zhishuang Pavilion, it is very puzzling, but I feel that the surrounding environment and scenery are really good. Is it the meaning of autumn and cool? The words on the middle hall are also beautiful.

Zhishuang Pavilion is built at the highest point of Huqiu, and you can see it slowly up the stone steps. It is said that it was built in the Song Dynasty. The existing buildings were later rebuilt.
