We went in the winter time and it was really neat to see how much the city embraces winter. There we mini outdoor food courts with small sliding activities and ice tables and chairs, beautiful ice sculptures and beautifully lit trees. We were not big fans of the restaurants, not a lot of bang for your buck. We enjoyed trying out the snacks like the frozen candied fruit and the ice cream bars. You would think eating frozen food in the cold weather would be terribly cold, but it was quite enjoyable. There are quite a few interesting shops, and some more typical shopping mall type stores. It was walking distance to Zhaolin Park and St. Sophia’s Cathedral so you can make a day out of it. Definitely worth checking it out!
