Fernandez & Wells Review

Had lunch with two good friends. The restaurant was recommended in a guide book. First impressions as you walk in is that is is quite small and just sandwiches but wander through and find a good spot and relish the larger menu. It was busy but not loud, bright but not without atmosphere and best of all the food is very fresh and prepared within your view. Recommend the egg mayonnaise and black pudding and any of the delicious cured meats. The portions are light - just right for lunch but choosing a sandwich will deliver a hearty sourdough bread with ample filling. The coffee is excellent. Also try the refreshing drink of lemon and mint over ice. Tucked away to the left inside Somerset House courtyard. Staff were relaxed and friendly and made us welcome without being intrusive.
