Went for the traditional New York pie and it was worth the visit. Pies were great (and a lovely complimentary desert) along with a great selection of beers as well with happy hour price of $3. Really felt we were living the East Village life.

5/5Outstanding
My daughter and I sat on a bench in Midtown searching the internet for a good pizza place. We weren't into the slick, glass-walled pizza joints in the area and liked the sound of this place. So a few subway stops and blocks of walking later we were in the Lower East Side at this historic, charming restaurant. We ordered their thin crust square Margherita Pizza and a local Pilsner. It was very good and really hit the spot. The bartender/waiter was engaging, the place had a a really warm ambiance. This restaurant has the kind of character that makes it memorable for travelers. Thanks for making our experience so pleasant.

Great place! Tucked away but my sister and I were looking for a quick bite while waiting for another appointment. This place hit the spot. The wine was great, atmosphere lovely, staff warm and welcoming, and pizza was some of the best. I had the gluten-free crust and i couldn't taste the difference. We were the only ones and had the run of the place. The bartender was lively and talkative but balanced her company with space as we ate. Great place. Perfect mix of Italy and Christmas in NY. Prices were very reasonable especially since we arrived during "happy hour". Have the Castillo Penafiel Roble (Tempranillo). It was recommended for pairing with our pizza and was an excellent choice. I love places were people are passionate about food and love what they do. This place was exactly that.

1/5Terrible
We waited 1.5 hours for almost cheeseless pizza. It was pricey and the servers would not serve anyone who came in and stood at the counter, until we all asked to be served. We'll never eat there again.
