Toledo Restaurant Review

Fabulous restaurant. The Spanish cuisine (Spain not Mexico) is authentic! The service is first class. The ambiance is pleasantly formal and exquisitely decorated. While we all want to see the menu, pause, be patient, and let your server describe the 'off menu' items. Choose from those. You will not be disappointed. Quite the contrary. The freshest, prepared for you, selections will awe your senses. Imagine: Octopus and shrimp in a garlic sauce; calamari so well done it snaps when you bite into it; paella -- superb; veal chop with mushrooms and adorned with peppers. Truly a succulent meal. When desserts come...same advice... Save the menu for another time; choose off the dessert cart. Berries bigger than golf balls (it is Masters season), cheese cake that melts, and a pecan phenom that you will talk about for a long time. Sergio, Juan and Alonzo (maitre D') were fantastic. Professionals that remind you as to why we dine out. This gem of a restaurant is in mid town 36th between 5th and Madison. But don't tell anyone. It is a diamond in the rough. It is my private dining room. Shhhh!!!
