The food at this place was not the worst Indian Cuisine I have tried in Copenhagen. As an Indian, I would call this mediocre South Asian cuisine tailored towards non-Indians who don't know alot about our food. It was bland with no flavour or spices. Seemed as though they used frozen pre-made curries of some kind. Also the staff was very unwelcoming, not helpful, rolling eyes and behaved as if they were doing us an immense favour by serving us. Won't ever try again.

    5/5Outstanding

Genuine Indian cuisine. Really nice food. No waiting time. Close to bus stop. Try the Lamb Balti dish!

    4/5Excellent

This is probably one of the best places to eat Indian food in the Copenhagen area. The restaurant, located in the trendy "hipster" area of Nørrebro - just to the north of the inner city area, is one of a chain of three. When we visited on a Friday evening the place was packed with diners, so it is clearly a very popular place with the Danes and a table reservation is advisable. The food we had, - a Lamb Balti and a Chicken Balti was spicy and hot (hotter than I thought you'd get in Denmark). They were also flexible enough to tweek the meals to our needs - my partner didn't want yoghurt in her meal, and I didn't want almonds in mine. The service was a bit on the slow side however, but it in mitigation it was a busy Friday evening. If I have any criticism it is that the restaurant didn't not have a selection of vegetable side dishes, which is certainly normal procedure in the UK. This is a shame, as a) I enjoy these side dishes, and b) they often offer a bit of relief from the spicy main meal. So no mushroom, okra or onion bhajis this time around!
