Höfði House

I didn't know this attraction when I made the trip, and I went to the restaurant according to the guide recommendation. The attraction did not open the door, just took pictures and punched in the surrounding area, and read some text and pictures. The building was the site of the 1986 Reagan-Gorbachev talks, so the talks marked the end of the Cold War, so the building has a special significance.

Hofdi House is a beautiful white villa on the seaside of Reykjavik. It is a meaningful house. It is here that the United States and the Soviet Union signed the Cold War Armistice Agreement, so it is a landmark building for the end of the Cold War. Ctrip arranged for us to have lunch across from it. The scenery around the house is very good. Walk along the seaside, see the sculptures and blow the sea breeze.

The building is of great historical significance, once the French consulate in Iceland, where the Cold War ended with the former Soviet Union and the United States held secret meetings here. The building itself is closed and inaccessible, surrounded by coastlines and meadows, and a Berlin Wall can be seen next to the meadow, a gift from Germany to Iceland. This area is Iceland's "Bank Street", which houses several major banks, accounting firms, Microsoft and other companies in Iceland. But there are no high-rise buildings, all are "Icelandic" lazy ground floor buildings, but also have a special interest.
