As a photography enthusiast, the museum in Rochester also joined the check-in list before leaving, the world's oldest photography museum opened to the public in 1949 and is owned by the founder of Eastman Kodak. After that, the manor was bequeathed to the University of Rochester, and then it was turned into a museum open to the public to visit the museum divided into permanent exhibitions and special exhibitions. Before coming to visit, you can check the current theme and exhibits on the official website. The interior of the manor retains the previous atmosphere characteristics. And the walls and rooms are decorated with various old photos. When I came, I was catching up with the flower exhibition here. I can also buy some flowers for souvenirs. In late June,I spent four hours learning about the history of cameras and photography in substantial depth.I saw two fine enriching temporary exhibits, the Adam Ekberg and the Judy Glickman Lauder.Adam Ekberg's color photographs were extremely inventive("Levitating Umbrellas")and the Judy Glickman Lauder photography exhibit depicted elderly Danish People who were supportive of Jewish People, during the Nazi Occupation of Denmark("Doctor Ole Secher").I also appreciated Neil Montanus'enormous photographic depiction of "Machu Picchu"(Colorama). From the Eastman Museum's permanent photographic collection,I saw fine exemplars of quality black and white photography by Eduard Atget,Lewis Hine, and Berenice Abbott, among others. My visit to the Eastman Museum was enlightening.
went in may and the gardens weren’t full yet and the front gardens, which is the only space you can take people photos, we’re under construction but still very nice
I don't really like to go to museums in the world under the light and shadow lens, but I know that visiting American museums is also a habit. My girlfriend likes photography and I pulled me here. The museum is a famous photographer, right, George Eastman, a prestigious photographer in the United States and even the world. The museum displays a lot of his photography works, and along a corridor you can probably see his investment in art and photography, involving many aspects of photography, even I don't know much about his work can learn a lot from his work. [Professional and in-depth] I heard from my friend that this great photographer has dedicated his life to art, and this museum has a lot of related photography artifacts, it can be said that this is the treasure base of photography, books and literature, works and instruments. If you have knowledge of photography, you will love it here and reap a lot. 【Tips】Opening hours: closed on Monday, 11:00 am-5:00 pm on Sunday, 1:00 am-5:00 pm on Tuesday to Saturday, it is recommended to play for about two hours.
